shipwrecked in 1846. The coastline includes one of the world's larger
monoliths, Haystack Rock. A mile west, Tillamook Rock holds one of the

for crowds from Portland and farther. Cannon Beach is one of the
centers for artistics activity on the Oregon Coast. Festivals include
Sandcastle Day, Stormy Weather Arts Festival, the annual Chamber
Auction, the annual Dog Show, Haystack Holidays, the Kite Festival,
