AURORA  REAL ESTATE

Aurora, Oregon.  Founded in 1856 as a religious colony by Dr. William Keil, Aurora is virtually the same size today.

This part of the Willamette Valley was the destination of thousands of immigrants who crossed the Oregon Trail in the nineteenth century. After Dr. Keil died, the colonists disbanded, yet the town didn't become a ghost town. Aurora was designated a National Historic District in 1974.

Within easy walking distance in the historic district are sixteen antique shops and the five-building Old Aurora Colony Museum Complex.
