Alameda, Oregon. Alameda is
located near Irvington in Northeast Portland. Northeast Portland is a large stretch of the city that runs
from downtown Portland all the way out to Gresham, bordered
by the Columbia River to the north. Rich in character,
Northeast Portland includes recognized neighborhoods like
Alameda, Elliot, Irvington, Hollywood, Rose City,
Laurelhurst, and Parkrose to the east. With the majority of
Portland's residents living on the eastside of the Willamette, there
still remains a great sense of pride. It is not unusual to find large,
elegant, historic mansions along the well-kept streets of close in
Northeast Portland. Those fortunate enough to live on a hill can find
themselves with perhaps the best views of the city skyline to the west.
Home of the Convention Center and The Rose Quarter (host to the
Trailblazers and the Winter Hawks), burgeoning business districts to the
east like Broadway and Hollywood are emerging and flourishing as hot
spots for Portlanders to frequent.
